Rev. Katherine Rieder, 
Interim Pastor 

Reverend Katherine Rieder has been a minister in Indiana for the past 18 years. She says she is bi-coastal...born in Brooklyn, N.Y. but lived most of her life in various places all over California.   She attended the University of California where she earned a M.A. in Music Theory and Composition, and California Lutheran University where she earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  Katherine began her working career as a music instructor at the college level.  Then life brought changes and she taught high school, middle school, and elementary levels.   

Katherine also sever many years as a church musician, choir director, and professional musician.  She is the mother of 6 (one birth child, two adopted children, and three stepchildren) and grandmother to 14.  When the time seemed right, she fulfilled a longtime call to ministry and attended San Francisco Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity. She was ordaied here in Indiana in the Whitewater Valley Presbytery, where she has served primarily as an interim minister.   Katherine's husband, Tom Noe, originally ca, from New Mexico, but has built golf courses all over the world.  He loves playing golf and working on hot rods from the 1930's and 40's.  Katherine and Tom live in Muncie now, and are delighted to be called to New Castle to serve here during this time of transition. 

Mary Ragna Yetter
Director of Music/Organist

Mary Ragna Yetter is the Director of Music and Organist at First Presbyterian Church, New Castle, and the University Organist at Anderson University. She came to Indiana in 2018 from the United Methodist Church in Kent, Ohio and has held positions as organist and choir director in Illinois, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Ireland, and England. Mary Ragna has degrees in Organ Performance from Texas Christian University; Ft. Worth, Texas, The Royal College of Music in London, England, and the University of Memphis. A member of the American Guild of Organists, she has held the offices of Dean and Sub-Dean in Akron, Ohio, Peoria, Illinois and Memphis, Tennessee. She has also served on the Executive Committee for the Indianapolis Chapter of the AGO.

Her husband, Erich Yetter is on the Dance Faculty of Anderson University, and sings in the choir at FPNC.  She has three grown children, Evan, Clara, and Jacob, and two grandchildren.
