As a downtown church serving a socioeconomically and educationally diverse community, our congregation strives to carry out Christ's mission in our community and beyond. We are called to be ambassadors of God's peace, advancing God's command to welcome all with hospitality, warmth, and intention. We are called to be disciples leading one another forward in relationship with Christ. We are called to mission bringing relief to the distressed and underprivileged while spreading the light of Christ to those who may not have encountered his message.
Our church lives out our vision to exemplify God's love and care for His people and draw others into a relationship with God within our congregation and thoughout our community. We are a culturally strong, philanthropic and growing community where people come together for the needs of others.
Our congregation has a long history of supporting many community programs and our strong public school system. These programs include Young Life, Wild Life, the Pregnancy Care Center, the Trojan Boutique, Back to School Supplies, and Meal on Wheels. We partner with the Township Trustee's office providing emergency financial assistance to those in need of housing and/or utilities. We provide care packages for our college and graduate school students during finals week.We financially support a young child in the Philippines. We provide free concerts for the community and caroling at Christmas time to shut-ins and those in assisted living.
Through these programs, personal involvement, and financial support, we are addressing the needs of our community in many positive ways.
